Track 2: Into Brilliant World ~ the Brilliant Shining Light

Toparo ~ the Brilliant Shining Light

Story:

Accessing the world of dreams is a simple task, each night all living things pass through the barrier between the world they live in and the world just beyond.

Staying in the world of dreams however *that* was a somewhat more complicated affair.

Death had given clear and concise directions, not that Muot had even needed them in the first place; given enough lifetimes on this hopeless earth, one would hear plenty about the countless who had also been tempted and allured by the idea of living in a world that bends to their will. Centuries pass, the worn story may change in places, advice will warp with the passage of time, but the central core stays the same - In the vast and empty wastes of the place deepest underground, a cavern so deep that the sky and sun become visible once again, lies a lone island of life circling a central point of death.

The act of transitioning into the subconscious mind is a simple one, sleep above the forgotten corpse that lies under the equally long deceased tree; then the universe will sort out the rest. Notably, Muot had never heard of a way to return, even Death had failed to mention this - Not that it mattered of course, he had no plans of returning anytime - Ever.

During the flight there the usual sorts of faces had greeted him and as always, he ignored them best he could; for the plenty few who seemed to have never learned what ‘not interested’ means he only needed to flick a single, very practiced, finger their way. Given a thousand lives, even the most niche of tasks had become second nature, as effortless as dreaming itself - So something that thrust itself into the forefront of daily life such as danmaku battles, had become less than child's play by this point; anyone foolish enough to not take the warning aimed at the air below them would not be a fool for very much longer.

Music Comment:

This is a very old piece I made for tBSL years and years ago at this point; this is a complete from the ground up remake of the track. It’s been so long since I composed this that I can’t remember the specifics, but I know that this started out as an attempt at the final boss music. I got about thirty seconds in and decided it would be better as stage music, so the beginning was composed as a boss track, the rest as a stage track. We’re in the enemies territory now, so I wanted it to sound powerful, but it’s still somewhat cheery as it’s more a theme based on the midboss instead of the more serious final boss.

This was the first from the ground up remake I made for this album, it was never planned to be in MoWS. It very vaguely fits the story here I suppose (lie).
